Mrs. S.J. MCGEE 76, succumbed to an illness of two months last December 25 at the Magraw Clinic. She was the daughter of Samuel and Elgivia Sumner and was born April 18, 1876. In 1891 she was united in marriage to Stonewall Jackson McGee and to this union eight children were born, six survive, two having died in infancy. Funeral services were held Monday, December 27 with Rev. L.L. Spurlin officiating. Burial was made at the Delmont cemetery. Mrs. McGee was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband and daughters Mrs. Nellie Tomlinson, Springfield, Ill; Mrs. Joe Sholar, Pembroke; Mrs. Huel Thomas, Hopkinsville; and sons Collins McGee, Jack McGee, Delmont community and Oliver McGee, U.S. Navy and now stationed at Great Lakes, Ill. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sam Shelton, Hopkinsville; Mrs. Garland Sumner, Cadiz and one brother, O.T.
