She was born in McKinley (Bass Harbor) Feb 19 1920, the daughter of George and Violette (Bragg) Miller. Mrs Smith was active in CAP and was a seamstress and costume designer for the Bangor Theatre Group. She was also an active member of the Columbia Shufflers in Hampden and loved crafts. Surviving are a son George J Smith and his wife Carol, of East Corinth; one daughter Bettielou Hopkins and her husband James of Hampden; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. At her request there will be no services but friends may call Bettielou Hopkins.
