Capt. EPPS E GILLEY died March 29th in Bucksport after a short illness of pneumonia. Deceased was born in Orland, and was nearly sixty-six years of age. Up to two years ago he resided in Orland, where his buildings were destroyed by fire, and since then he has lived in Bucksport, being in the harness business.
In his early life he followed the sea, having been master of several vessels and usually going foreign voyages. He was last in command of the bark Shamrock, after which he retired to land life and engaged in fitting out fleets and also in the brick making business at Orland.

Capt. AUSTIN GOTT died at his home in Bucks port March 28th of consumption, aged 51 years, 2 mouths and 18 days. He was a native of Tremont but had long been a resident of Bucksport, and a much respected citizen. Among the vessels he had commanded were the Post Boy, W. E. Barnes, Alice Gardner and Hesper.
