The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Austin & Bell Funeral Home's Greenbrier chapel with Dr. Fred Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Robertson County Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
He was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Stewart County, a son of Alonzo Bertram Vaughn and Amber Leona Smith Vaughn.
Vaughn was a retired lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose No. 1027, Fort Campbell American Legion, and the Naval Reserve Association.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Daniel Vaughn; two daughters, Joanne Vaugn, Clarksville, and Ginny Bollinger, Greenbrier; two brothers, Milton Vaughn, Hopkinsville, Ky., Thomas M. Vaughn, Clarksville; and two grandchildren.
