Last rites were conducted for Mrs. Maggie L Higgins, 61, Friday afternoon, Oct. 16, at Beshear Funeral Home. The Rev Julian Ethridge officiated. Burial was in New Beulah Cemetery. Mr. Higgins, died Wednesday, Oct 14, in Regional Medical Center, Madisonville. She was born Jan 3, 1920, in Tennessee, daughter of the late Isaac and Rose Parker Brunson. She was a member of the Charleston Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Pauline Lynn, Route 1; three sons, Jerry Higgins, Route 1, Slaughters, Donald Higgins, Tacoma WA, and Jimmie Higgins, Cadiz; two brothers, Sylvester Brunson, St Charles, and Elbert Brunson, Madisonville; two sisters, Mrs Myrtle Dockery and Mr. Fronie Brown, both of Beulah.
