Graveside Services and Full Military Honors for Joey Dean “Joe” Ingrassia of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Ingrassia, 66, passed away Sunday night, January 12, 2020 in Troy, MO. Born September 1, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of William Patrick and Carolyn Lee Twomey Ingrassia. Joe served his country in the United States Marine Corps from February 28, 1970 until his honorable discharge on February 28, 1974. He was united in marriage on December 28, 1971 in St. Louis to Ruth Ann Schilly. This union was blessed with six children: William, Joey, John, Robert, Angela and James. He worked as a Lead Manufacturer for Hussman Refrigeration.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, William and Carolyn Ingrassia; and one brother, Anthony Ingrassia.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann Ingrassia; their children: William Ingrassia and his wife, Allison, of Lake St. Louis, MO, Joey Ingrassia and his wife, Sandra, of O’Fallon, MO, John Ingrassia and his wife, Rachel, of O’Fallon, Robert Ingrassia and his wife, Jessica, of Troy, Angela Rue and her husband, Ralph, of Troy, and James Ingrassia and his wife, Amanda, of O’Fallon; twenty-two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Joe also leaves one brother, Richard Ingrassia of Elsberry; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

Lawrence A. Twomey of Route One, Bismarck was born May 18, 1892 in Caledonia and died July 13 at Bonne Terre Hospital at the age of 81. Surviving are: his widow Bertha Twomey of Route One, Bismarck; five sons John Twomey of Colorado, Henry Twomey of Festus, Tim Twomey of Bismarck, Ray Twomey of Festus and Leo Twomey of Arnold; six daughters, Katherine Halbert of Sullivan, Clara Mae Smith of Nashville, Tenn., Louise Wright of Bismarck, Carolyn Ingrassia of St Louis, Imogene Stevens of St Louis, Betty Becker of Bismarck; two brothers, John Twomey of Farmington and Theodore Twomey of Frankclay; four sisters Fairy Walch of Flat-River, Ruth McNair of Calif., Esther Gurvette of Festus, Ixretta Culli of St Louis; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday 2 p.m. at the Bismarck First Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hodge officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Bismarck. The body will be in state after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Edna Lee Shipmand and Son Chapel in Bismarck.
