JOYCE-Bill and Tom (brothers)
William Robert 'Bill' Joyce (1834-1899) and James Thomas 'Tom' Joyce (1837-1917) were brothers of Louisa Jane Joyce Mayes and fought on opposite sides, during the Civil War. (Tom and his father fought for the Confederacy, while his brother, Bill, fought for the Union) They argued for the rest of their lives about the war. This photo was taken after the war.
